The New NeedleNose™ Stand Up Paddleboards are aptly
named. They feature a straight-line hull design and razor sharp, wave
piercing bow that is unique among inflatable standup paddleboards. It has the
sharpest bow of all Inflatable Standup Paddleboards in the world — check it
out! Other features that make these new SUPs the fastest, sleekest, and best
inflatable SUPs in the world are: an elegant curved touring shape with NO
UPTURN that simply loves to glide through water married with the same thoughtful
features as our Longboards allowing, the new NeedleNose™ SUPs to be used in a
wide range of water conditions with more options than most SUPs. Unlike the
Longboard LB11, these SUPs are primarily designed to be used on open waters,
large lakes, meandering rivers, inland salt marshes, wide open bays and the
endless ocean waters —yes, these are the domains of our new NeedleNose™ SUPs.
We offer three NeedleNose™ models in three sizes to
appeal to different uses. What is the difference between these three open water
SUPs? The 11'4" size is made with 4" drop stitch material and is
ideal for children, ladies and small framed men who looking for a lighter,
smaller, advanced performance maneuvering board that has all of the wave
piercing characteristics of the NeedleNose™ design, but is more compact,
lighter in weight and easier to carry. The larger 12'4" and 14' models are
made with 6" drop stitch material which makes them more rigid and actually
faster to paddle because of the length to width ratio. These boards are
still by far featherweights in their class when compared to most fiberglass
SUPs.
Ultra Strong Drop Stitch Construction
The Sea Eagle NeedleNose™ uses Drop Stitch
construction, which allows a much higher air pressure than other inflatable
technologies. Thousands of tiny threads connect the top and bottom layers of
the board.
This means the board can hold up to 15 pounds of
max air pressure, more than double the working pressure of other technologies.
When you're out on the water, this means the NeedleNose™ will turn, cut and
perform like a fiberglass board, and still packs up nicely into a small bag.
Material you can hit with a hammer
Would you hit an inflatable boat with a claw
hammer? We hit the 1000 denier hull material in our Sea Eagle boats with a claw
hammer .... with the sharp claw end.
The Sea Eagle reinforced hull material can take
this incredible pounding ... so you don't need to sweat bumping into the dock
now and then.
