**All TAILFIN Remote Kicker Steering Systems include both a wireless remote and a two-button switch with 24’ of cord.

If you need more than 24’ of cord to properly route the two-button switch from the battery compartment to wherever you wish to mount it, you will want this extension.

***All TAILFIN Remote Kicker Steering Systems utilize a relay control which mounts near your battery.

Our electric motors come with 6’ of cord which is generally enough to reach the relay control if it is mounted in a battery compartment in the rear of the boat. If your battery compartment is more toward the center of the boat, you may need an extension cable to properly route your motor cable to the relay.

“Note: At this time, the only outboards requiring our B Fit Kit are Mercury EFI Tiller motors. All others, including Mercury EFI Remote models and Carbureted Mercury Tiller motors will use the A Fit Kit”.

It took 3 hours for the installation. I trolled salmon last week in the Half Moon Bay, CA. with the ocean current, wind and waves - I had to constantly steer the boat at all time - got tired of that. I reprogrammed the MAX and steer speed to the slowest level to keep the boat go straight, but still didn't go straight. 1. The quick release bracket too short - may be it's a prototype bracket? 2. Installation manual very clear - helped a lot during my install. 3. The system responds much better with a wire remote control than the wireless remote. 4. I don't like the placement of the cable connect on the side, my fishing lines tangle with this cable. I prefer the old way on this one. Over all, I like it.
