Introducing…the NEW, IMPROVED, TURBO-CHARGED SAILCAT!

New High-Aspect Ratio Sail SUPERCHARGES Sail Plan efficiency — Yields higher speeds & far more FUN!

Revolutionary new SAIL DESIGN makes the NEW SailCat

  • FAST – we clocked speeds to 9 mph
  • EXCITING to sail for new & experienced sailors
  • CONVENIENT with no trailering or storage hassles & expense

New Improved SailCat BEATS THE HIGH COST OF HIGH-PERFORMANCE SAILING!

Our twin-hull SailCat has gotten rave reviews since we first introduced it in 2005. New for the 2011 sailing season, we’ve made a major design enhancement that gives this unique catamaran a significantly improved, high efficiency sail plan.

The net result is a high performance sailboat that’s FAST in the water; EXCITING to sail; and CONVENIENT to operate, transport, and store.

And, as with every Sea Eagle boat, you get an INFLATABLE boat made with highest quality materials and workmanship at a fraction of the cost of comparable hard-hull boats.

WHAT IS a “high aspect ratio” sail?

A high aspect ratio sail is one that is high off the deck with a relatively short boom. The height yields two benefits: it’s well above the water, where the winds are stronger, and the boom is high and out of the way.

The TROUBLE with hard-hull catamaran sailboats…

Other Catamaran

A catamaran is a great sailboat design: twin hulls make a sailboat strong and stable. But ordinary, HARD-HULL catamarans have significant drawbacks:

  • Trailering required
  • Maintenance required
  • Storage space required
  • Complicated rigging difficult to master
  • Initial cost — 6 times what a SailCat costs!
  • Ongoing cost — trailer & license, storage, maintenance

The performance secret is the new HIGH ASPECT RATIO SAIL

We called on Neil Pryde, the world’s leading sail designer and manufacturer, to supercharge the SailCat. We collaborated with their crew of engineers created a new sail plan that gives you all these advantages:

  • SPEED — Our new sail sits high on the mast, high above the water, where the stronger winds are.
  • EFFICIENCY — With more sail area in the wind, more of the wind’s energy is captured and translated into sailing speed.
  • COMFORT — A high sail means a high boom – higher above your head than other sail designs and more convenient when coming around.
  • CONVENIENCE — You DON’T have to raise/lower the sail at day’s end. Simply tip the boom up and wrap the sail around the mast and boom. Boom lowers easily for transport and storage.
  • SIMPLICITY — Our single, nearly vertical batten stiffens the sail and makes its efficient air foil shape possible. The batten simply tips up as you tip up the boom.

Patented FOLDING FRAME means NO TRAILERING & LIGHTNING-FAST rigging (U.S. Patent #7240634)

The SailCat packs neatly in two bags that fit easily in your car trunk so there’s no trailer hassle or expense and no waiting in line at a boat launch.

Simply unpack and unroll the SailCat, inflate it, and go sailing. You’ll go from your car trunk to out on the water in under 20 minutes.

Sea Eagle’s revolutionary patent-pending FOLDING FRAME makes it possible.

Rugged but light aluminum slats and slide-in Underbars form an ingenious, integrated frame. Simply unroll it and inflate it — as the hulls inflate, air pressure clamps all components tightly together making the SailCat rigid and tight as a drum.

Hull Just 111 lbs. … but it’s all muscle

Inflatable Catamaran that Fits in a Closet!
A catamaran in a closet!

With a hull that weighs just 111 lbs. fully rigged, the fully rigged SailCat is only 139 lbs. Its trim weight and twin catamaran hulls make it sit high in the water which reduces drag, making it a nimble and responsive sailing craft that’s simple and fun to pilot.

But don’t let the low weight fool you; this is one rugged little sailboat. You can SAIL ANYWHERE with confidence in the SailCat — rivers, ponds, lakes, even in the ocean. The hulls are made of 1,000 denier “crocodile hide” material, the same as we use in our high-performance Sport Runabouts. The mast and all hardware are made of nautical-grade, anodized aluminum — a highly specialized alloy that combines light weight, tremendous strength, and high resistance to corrosion even from salt water.

Maintenance Free — spend your time SAILING, not scrubbing

A light hosing at the end of the sailing season is about all the maintenance your SailCat will ever need. And unlike fiberglass hulls that grow dull over time and require regular scrubbing and touchups, the SailCat’s inflatable hulls keep their like-new good looks for years and years…effortlessly.

Now, enjoy the PLEASURE of HIGH-PERFORMANCE SAILING for 1/6 the cost of comparable hard-hull sailboats!

Sailboats of the same size, class, and performance rating as the SailCat cost $12,000 and more — a justifiable price, perhaps, for a high-performance sailboat with a HARD HULL. But what if you want all the sailing performance without the big price tag …or the hassle of trailering and steep slip fees…or the storage problems?

At 1/6 the price of comparable sailboats, the INFLATABLE SailCat is an extraordinary value. It’s an easy purchase to justify — not just because the price is low but because you get more for your money than with any hard-hull boat: all the fun of sailing with extra quality, convenience, portability, and warranty protection. Plus, the SailCat comes 100% complete with twin 14 ft. hulls, bench seats, 60 sq. ft. of sail, new High Aspect Ratio sail and rigging, two nylon carry bags, repair kit, and foot pump.

You won't find a better value

You could spend $20,000 or more for a hard-hull catamaran sailboat, but you won't get the convenience, portability and ease of sailing that the 14’ Sea Eagle SailCat gives - for much less money.

Plus... A THREE YEAR WARRANTY

Our Sea Eagle boats are covered for a full three years against manufacturer's defects ... from bow to stern.

We can afford to offer this unprecedented  guarantee because of our 40 year experience in designing and selling inflatable boats. We know quality products, and we stand behind them.
