PowrTran has introduced smaller and faster power steering units for
awkward or hard-to-reach transom or bracket-mounted outboard motors up
to 20 HP.
PowrTran has
introduced a unique, power steering unit – the most compact on the
market - that can be added to small outboards in minutes with common
hand tools.
The
new Powertran Steer units – just 2 ½” W x 2 ½” H x 24”D - with marine grade,
submersible, high torque 12 volt motors drawing just 5 amps - steer
outboards faster (in just 3 seconds) side-to-side to adjust course in
rough or fast-moving water. The drive unit and motor are separate from
each other for fast and easy service or replacement.
Designed for closed throttle cruising and trolling, the new Powertran
Steer can be operated by hand or foot with a 2-button switch from up to
16’. A wireless remote control is also available, which allows the power
steering to be operated from anywhere on board.
The
new Powrtran PS 205, for awkward or hard-to-reach transom or
bracket-mounted motors up to 20 HP, has a marine grade, submersible,
high torque 12 volt motor that draws just 5 amps.
The
Powrtran unit steers the
motor faster side-to-side to adjust course in rough or fast-moving
water. The drive unit and motor are separate from each other for fast
and easy service or replacement.
