1. Leading Edge: Edge of the propeller closest to the boat.  The first edge to hit the water.
2. Trailing Edge: Edge of the propeller furthest from the boat.  Last to go into the water.
3. Blade Tip: The maximum reach of the blade from the center of the hub.  Separates leading and trailing edges.
4. Blade Face: The side of the blade facing away from the boat.
5. Blade Back: The side of the blade facing the boat. 
6. Blade Root: Where the blade meets the hub. 
7. Cup: Small curve located on the trailing edge of the blade. 
8. Hub: Cylinder at the center of the propeller.  Mounts on the engine shaft.
9. Diameter: Distance across the circle created by the blade tips. 
10. Pitch: The distance that a propeller would move in a linear direction with one revolution.
11. Fixed Pitch: Permanently mounted blades that do not allow a change in the propeller pitch.
12. Constant Pitch: Blades have the same pitch from leading edge to trailing edge and from root to blade tips.
13. Variable Pitch: Blades have sections with varying degrees of pitch on the blade face.
14. Rake: Slant of a blade with respect to the line perpendicular to the propeller's axis of rotation.
15. Skew: Blades that are swept back
16. Rotation: Right-hand propellers rotate clockwise for forward thrust while left-hand propellers rotate counter-clockwise during forward thrust.
